Thyme At Ballymaloe
For centuries people have used Thyme to enhance their lifestyle; now Ballymaloe brings Thyme to you.
Welcome to Thyme at Ballymaloe, part of the Ballymaloe Grainstore Festival programme for 2021 and Ballymaloe’s newest spring event. Thyme will open its gates for the very first time from May 2021 across the Grainstore and Big Shed venues.
Thyme at Ballymaloe is an exciting fusion of lifestyle experiences focused on sharing a wealth of talent and knowledge from around Ireland. Thyme is a celebration of house and home, health and wellness, gardening and sustainable living. Thyme is artisan food heroes, talented craft-makers, gardeners and eco experts alongside workshops, children’s activities, music and food.
Of particular interest is the inaugural flower installation competition, “Thyme in the Garden” , which will see local florists and garden centres competing to create large floral installation under this year’s festival theme, Thyme.
Thyme at Ballymaloe offers visitors the chance to connect with all the good things in life in the glorious setting of Ballymaloe House and Gardens.
Event manager Bree Allen says, “As an important new part of the developing Grainstore event calendar, Thyme at Ballymaloe is an opportunity to relax and enjoy the first big event of the spring with your family. We are truly lucky to have gathered together so many fantastic elements from all around Ireland for Thyme”.
Bree reminds visitors to check the website for event information, “Our workshop programme and kids activities can all be viewed online. Activities vary with some included in the entry ticket with no need to pre-book, others need to be booked online in advance via the Ballymaloe Grainstore website. We look forward to seeing you!”
Entry tickets to Thyme are €5 with children under 12 going free.
So come and spend Thyme at Ballymaloe this May; a weekend for all the family, and an opportunity to relax and recharge in the spring sunshine
