The first-ever Ballymaloe Malt & Music Weekend will showcase an impressive line-up of Irish bands and artisan brewers, as well as offering the usual high standard of delicious food, all under the generous cover of the relaxed and rustic Big Shed on the Ballymaloe Farm.

Location & How to get there
When and where is The Malt & Music Weekend taking place?
The Malt & Music Weekend is taking place in The Big Shed on Ballymaloe Farm located on the grounds of Ballymaloe House Shanagarry Co. Cork – 30 June – 2 July 2017.
Friday 30th June Doors open at 7.00pm – (bar close 12.30pm)
Saturday 01st July Doors open at noon - (bar close 12.30pm)
Sunday 02nd July Doors open at noon – 8.00pm (bar close 8.00pm)
How can I get there?
If you come by car - parking in designated car parks at Ballymaloe House is free. PLEASE DO NOT obstruct driveways, neighboring properties or park illegally as this can cause great inconvenience to our neighbors.
If you fancy coming along by bus then jump on Bus Route 240 Cork- Cloyne – Ballycotton Please ask the bus driver to stop at the gates of Ballymaloe House. Bus Leaves Cork on Friday at 17.45. Leaves Cork on Saturday at 13.30, 15.30, 17.30 This is a 45 minute journey. However, please note that this service does not operate on Sunday’s. Local taxi companies Michael Walsh 086-2647001, Ger Wall 087-2626901, East Cork Cabs 021-463344 Midleton Cabs 021-4613789 or if you are feeling energetic it is also easily accessible by bicycle from Midleton.
- Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it is all on one level without steps.
- How much are the tickets and what do they include?
- Friday e15 + evening event.
- Saturday e10 day event ticket & e20 evening event ticket, Sat day & night ticket e28
- Sunday e10 day event ticket
- Kids under 16 go free when accompanied by a responsible adult (Sat & Sun are kid friendly days )
- Where do I collect my tickets from?
Your tickets will be emailed to you, you can choose to print them or better yet, present them to us on your smartphone & we’ll take it from there. We prefer the latter option, it’s better for the environment.
- Can under 18s go to the festival?
Yes but only when accompanied by a responsible adult, children under 18 are not permitted to the event after 9pm!
- Is there readmission?

Yes, there will be a lovely children’s area with: Let the little ones flex their creativity and innovation with The Brickx Club, a LEGO® building and social activity club for children aged 4 to 12 years. It runs on Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon until 5pm. €2 per child per hour.
Kids area is available Saturday & Sunday only.

- Do children need a ticket?
Under 16’s go free, all persons under 18 will be asked to the event after 9pm, Kids area is open on Saturday and Sunday only.
- I am considering buying a weekend pass – can I do this when I arrive on Friday night?
You can but to avoid disappointment we would advise you purchase your weekend pass in advance. If we have reached our ticket capacity by Friday 30 June weekend passes will no longer be available.
- Can I change my tickets for another day?
All tickets are non-transferable.
- Food & Drinks
There are plenty of outlets on site selling food and drink. No alcohol / drinks bottles* / glass bottles or cans can be brought into the festival.
*NO plastic bottles or sealed cartons of juice will be permitted into the festival.
- ATM, can I get cash on site?
There will be a cash back facility in the Box Office area over the weekend.
- What does my ticket get me?
Your ticket gains you admission to the event within which there will be food stands, drinks, kids area, musical entertainment.
- How do i buy tickets?
Yes, you can buy tickets using the button below or call 021-4757200. From Wednesday 28th June the Box Office at Ballymaloe Farm will be open from 09am to 5pm or on the day of the event.
- I have bought Saturday ‘day’ tickets… If I decided to stay for the evening can I purchase tickets then?
We would not advise leaving it until the M&M weekend to purchase your tickets – pre-purchase to avoid disappointment because if we have reached our ticket capacity for any of the weekends ticketed events you will not be able to stay on. PRE-BOOKING is therefore advised.
- Can I get a refund?
Unless the event is canceled, all tickets are non-refundable.
- Can I bring my own food?
- Are pets/animals allowed in?
Regrettably no animals are allowed inside the event, with the exception of registered assistance animals.
Full weekend ticket available €56.
Camping is not available at the Ballymaloe Malt & Music Weekend.
Children under 12 years old admitted free with an adult. Children are welcome until 9pm.
